Professor Pentane is a leader in the automotive Industry's teaching, training, and learning segment. He is a Professor and Automotive Coordinator in the Department of Automotive Technology at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. He also serves as the USA Technical Delegate to WorldSkills since 2012 and has been a leader in the SkillsUSA National Automotive Service Technology Committee since 1997.

Prof. Scott Norman has dressed up for classes during Halloween the last few years as a Crazy Automotive Professor. Students starting calling him Professor Octane or Professor Pentane during these days and the alter ego name of Professor Pentane stuck.
